Is an Aromatherapy Consultation really necessary?

Yes! This is an opportunity for us to really get down to what you want out of your aroma blend. You will review your Client Intake Form with Quinn and discuss your goals, preferences and specific needs. It’s in your best interest to be completely honest with Quinn, but you should never feel obligated to share more than you are comfortable with. Consultations will last 15-30 minutes and require no preparation on the client’s part except completion of the Intake Form!

What is the format of an Aromatherapy Consultation?

The session will begin with a brief introduction from Quinn and move into a review of your Client Intake Form. Quinn may ask questions or for clarification; please know that while it is in your best interest to be honest and open with Quinn, you should never feel obligated to share more than you are comfortable with. Feel free to ask Quinn as many questions as you have at any time in the consultation!

What is the format of a Yogaromas Consultation?

What is the typical yoga session format?

Your personalized yoga sequence is created for you by Quinn based on the specific goals and needs you outlined on your Client Intake Form. The session will begin with a brief introduction by Quinn and an outline of what we will work on in that session. You’ll then move right into some movement!

What is the typical Yogaromas session format?

A personalized yoga sequence is created just for you to use in tandem with the personalized aromatherapeutic product formulated by Quinn based on the specific goals and needs you outlined on your Client Intake Form. The session will begin with a brief introduction by Quinn and an outline of what we will work on in that session. You’ll then discuss how to use your aromatherapy product and move right into some movement!

Why is it important to work with a Certified and Registered Aromatherapist?

While essential oils are widely available for purchase and used by so many people, when working with essential oils as a healing modality (or in any capacity, really), it can be dangerous without the supervision of a knowledgeable and experienced Aromatherapist. Though the whole plant (or parts of the whole plant) may often be used in other ways for similar purposes, such as in teas or tinctures, bottled essential oils can be 50 to 100 times more concentrated than the oils in the plant itself. Essential oils need to be treated and administered with care because of this high potency and Quinn can help with that as a Certified Aromatherapist!

Does it actually matter where the essential oils and other ingredients are sourced?

The short answer is... Yes!

Due to the increased popularity of essential oils and aromatherapeutic products, and lack of regulation by the FDA, many suppliers may be misleading customers by offering low-quality or adulterated essential oils and aromatherapeutic products as the real deal. Certain shortcuts, such as diluting with contaminants, synthetic fillers or fragrances, extenders or even other less costly essential oils, or unethical sourcing of ingredients, allow for a much lower financial cost with an increased supply. Unfortunately, these shortcuts are not only passed to the consumer in the way of lower-priced goods, but also a lower quality and less effective, or potentially harmful, product.

All of the ingredients used to create Yogaromas by Quinn products, whether personalized or from the Essentials line, are sourced from trusted suppliers who offer ethically sourced and verified ingredients, including all essential oils and carrier oils. Certified organic ingredients are also used whenever possible.

What are hydrosols?

The most simple explanation of hydrosols, also referred to as hydrolats and floral water, is that they are the water leftover from the steam distillation of plants resulting in essential oils. This remaining solution contains micro drops of essential oils and water-soluble plant components from the distilled plant. Hydrosols, therefore, contain the therapeutic qualities of the essential oil in a less concentrated form. This may allow for their broader use.

What's the best way to store my personalized aromatherapy product?

Quinn will provide you with storage instructions specific to your product, however, the two most important things to remember when storing any essential oil-based product is to replace the cap or lid tightly after use and do your best to store it in a cool, dark place. While exposure to the air and sunlight won’t spoil your product or make it “go bad,” it will accelerate the oxidation of the oils, which may result in loss of effectiveness, and therefore, it’s magic! Why is grain alcohol used as an ingredient in some aromatherapy products?

Grain alcohol is used in many aromatherapy products that contain water, such as room sprays. As we know, oil and water don’t mix well, but alcohol can reduce that resistance. To ensure that the essential oils are dispersed throughout the aroma spray, alcohol is used to help the essential oils become more soluble in the water. Only the purest alcohol should be used in this manner, and Yogaromas by Quinn uses only 190 proof grain alcohol, to ensure the therapeutic benefits of the essential oils are enhanced by this addition and never compromised. It is still recommended to gently shake these products prior to use, to further reduce the natural separation.

What's the best way to store my Yogaromas by Quinn Essentials products?

Are there different benefits between using an essential oil rollerball and an essential oil inhaler?

Yes! The inhaler allows for the essential oil constituent molecules to enter your system by the method of inhalation and the rollerball allows for two methods, inhalation and absorption. There are different benefits to each of these applications and therefore instances where one may be more well-suited than the other. Am I able to return or exchange a personalized product?

Due to the personalization of the products, refunds and exchanges are not generally permitted. However, if a product is not meeting expectations, please discuss with Quinn in your follow-up appointment or reach out to us via email (hello@yogaromasbyquinn.com) and we will work to find a suitable solution!

What is the return/exchange policy on Yogaromas Essentials products?

Each product is made-to-order, by hand, with love and intention. This means that while it may take a few extra days to get to you, all of the ingredients (but especially the essential oils) will be fresh and at their most potent, allowing for a longer lifespan of targeted healing.

Unopened, unused and undamaged products are eligible for exchange or store credit at retail value within 7 days of receipt. Opened and used products may be eligible for a refund at the discretion of Yogaromas by Quinn. If a product is not meeting expectations, please contact us at orders@yogaromasbyquinn.com to discuss options for refund or exchange.
